Focused Personal Intensives

Because Healing Takes Time

When It’s Time to Finish One Thing

You’ve been doing the work.

You’ve talked. You’ve understood. You’ve shifted real things. From the outside, you’re someone who’s done their healing.

But there’s one piece that hasn’t moved.

Maybe it’s a grief you keep circling. Or a pattern that outlasts every insight.

It could be a wound you’ve carried for years, and in a weekly session, you barely get to it before the time is up.

You’re not looking to start over. You’re looking to finish one thing. And you’re ready to give it the time it’s been asking for.

Why an Intensive?

Weekly sessions are the foundation of most trauma work. They build the relationship with your therapist, hold a steady pace, and let your nervous system trust the rhythm.

But sometimes, one thread inside you is ready to move faster than a weekly hour allows.

This type of trauma works needs time and a particular type of therapy: uninterrupted hours, fewer transitions, and space for what surfaces to be met in the same sitting rather than carried out into your daily life until next week.

An intensive isn’t a replacement for ongoing work. It’s a different type of container, for a different kind of moment.

What a Focused Personal Intensive Is

A Focused Personal Intensive is a block of time set aside for one important piece of work.

It offers the same brainspotting frame as a weekly session, just longer, with room for the full piece of work to reach completion instead of stopping at the hour.

An intensive session can be as short as three hours, or it can last as long as a half-day, a full day, or even several days when that’s what the work is asking for.

What Yours Could Look Like

Every Focused Personal Intensive is bookended by a 90-minute intake before and a 90-minute integration session about a week after.

Three-Hour Intensives

These are perfect for someone arriving with significant prior therapeutic work with one specific thread they want to focus on.

Half-Day or Full-Day Intensives

In a longer intensive, we will work on the fuller arc of whatever our focus is. This type of time and space allows for deeper work. We will go through the history, parts, processing, and integration in one single block of time.

The longer container gives us room to stay on one thread and see it through, or to move across several issues as they surface.

Multi-Day Intensives

Certain threads benefit from even more intensive work spread out over two or more days. If you’re ready to put something big behind you, a multi-day intensive could be just the thing. We go into the entire arc from start to finish, with multiple brainspotting sessions and time for discussion and integration afterward.

Alongside Regular Therapy

If you’re already working with me, an intensive can also be dropped right into our ongoing work, a few hours or a full day when one thread is ready for more time than a weekly hour can give. The intake is already there in what we’re doing.

Each Focused Personal Intensive is structured as a complete package: intake, intensive, and integration together.

We’ll talk through what fits your situation during your free 30-minute consultation.

How Your Intensive Flows

Before

The Intake Session

The intake is a session we’ll do for ninety minutes a week or two before the intensive.

We get oriented to what you’re bringing and set a clear target for the day, with some prep for you to do in between.

I make sure we’re both crystal clear on what the intensive is for and how we’ll use it for maximum benefit.

During

The Intensive Itself

We map the history, the pain points, and the parts carrying them.

From there, we follow where your body and brain lead. We can pivot at any time.

You leave with a somatic anchor and a clear sense of what changed.

After

The Integration Session

About a week later, we’ll meet for ninety minutes.

The integration session gives us a chance to examine what surfaced, what’s consolidated, and what still wants attention.

This is also where we decide what’s next: completion, continued work, or another intensive on a different layer.

What Shifts?

The one piece you’ve been circling for who knows how long starts to move.

The grief, the pattern, the wound loosens its grip. The charge it carried begins to ease.

Often, you’ll notice that your body goes first. It settles, and the vigilance quiets. Some people describe feeling lighter within days, like a weight they’d stopped noticing has lifted.

The insight you already had finally reaches your body.

A trigger that used to run your days loses its hold.

The piece that wouldn’t move? At long last, it moves.

A Note From Me

I’ve done this work myself, and I’ve watched it land for the people who walk into it ready.

An intensive isn’t for everyone, and it isn’t always the right shape, even for someone who could benefit from one.

We figure that out together in the consultation.

What I can tell you:

When your readiness and the format meet, an intensive gives things a chance to move in a way weekly sessions rarely can. Not because intensives are magic, but because your body finally has the time and the frame it needs.

Whatever we decide, I care about getting this right for you.

Is This for You?

A Focused Personal Intensive tends to be the right fit when:

You’ve done meaningful therapeutic work, and one specific piece still hasn’t moved.

You can name the thread: a grief, a pattern, a wound. Even if you can’t yet name what’s underneath it.

You have the bandwidth around the intensive to rest and integrate afterward.

You’re looking for completion on one thing, not a long arc of weekly sessions.

If most of these feel true, a consultation is the next step.

(If they don’t, that’s useful information too. We can talk about whether weekly work or something else fits better right now.)
